ICAO FLIGHT PLAN MODIFICATIONS 2012
The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has agreed to make changes to the content
and format of the ICAO flight plan form (FPL). These changes become globally applicable on
15 November 2012. To succesfully implement this amendment, it is essential that pilots inform
themselves of the relevant changes.
12 November 2012 marks the start of the transition from old to new flight plan format.
Pilots and aircraft operators are requested to file their flight plans in new format from this
date onwards.
